About Reekado Banks
Ayoleyi Hanniel Solomon, who records as Reekado Banks, is a Nigerian-born Afropop singer-songwriter. ∙ His 2016 debut, Spotlight, entered Billboard’s World Albums chart at No. 10. ∙ The video for his 2017 single “Easy (Jeje)” has garnered more than 14 million views online. ∙ In 2018, he won Hip-Hop World Revelation of the Year honors at The Headies, an awards show celebrating Nigerian hip-hop artists. ∙ Banks announced the formation of his own indie label, Banks Music, in 2018. ∙ In 2020, the Lagos-based newspaper P.M. News named him to its list of the Top 25 Under-30 Nigerian Superstars.
